Chief Justice visits Sabroom Court : â | SABROOM / AGARTALA, September 5 (TIWN): “Attack on judges is simply attacking the entire judicial system of State and it is very dangerous for Democracyâ€, Chief Justice Deepak Gupta condemned attack on Judge Saurabh Saha and decaying law & order situation in State. Following the incident of Sabroom on September 2, Chief Justice Deepak Gupta went to Sanbroom and met Magistrate Sourav Saha on Saturday and condemned the incident. Chief Justice Dipak Gupta said that such an incident is a threat to democracy and persons who are involved in this will be punished soon, it doesn’t matter they belong to which group or party.â€I am shocked with this attack on Judicial system,also very upset after such an incident, took place with a Magistrateâ€, he added. CJ Deepak Gupta went to Sabroom at 9.30 am and met with Magistrate Saurav Saha and other victims of the incident and the meeting continued for 1 hour. Chief Justice visited Sabroom court and took a serious note of the incident. The ghastly incident took place on September 2, the day of CPI-M backed All India Trade Union Strike. During the strike Magistrate Saurabh Saha with two other employees along with a bank clerk was on the way to the court when the CPI-M goons/picketers blocked him entering court. Fuming over the negligence in the treatment by the doctors which led to the death of 3 people in a row of same family including two minors at IGM hospital on Friday morning brewed resentment among the doctors and deceased family members.Alleging discrepancy in the treatment by the doctors of the hospitals the family members of the deceased has lodged complaint with west police station demanding arrest of the accused doctors.The deceased are identified as Sristi Das (7), Maxi Das (9) and Basanti Debbarma (52).Reportedly, the resentment brewed up when the four people of the same family belonging to Nagichorra area were admitted to IGM hospital with mere report of food poisoning on Wednesday night.The family members alleged that due to the negligence in the treatment by the doctors the three people including two minors already died and one is left in critical condition at the hospital.The family members of the deceased stated that the health condition of Sristi Das (7), Maxi Das (9) Basanti Debbarma (52) and Lipika Das (20) started to deteriorate after they had consume a sweet dish at their home on Wednesday. Seeing the declining health condition of the victims the family members rushed them to IGM hospital and got them admitted for further treatment. Manik Sarkar’s govt fooling APL c | Agartala, September 4 (TIWN): Above Poverty Line ( APL) ration card holders from this month - September 1st have to pay Rs 13 for per kg of rice. The state government increased Rs 2.65 per kilo. Price of wheat has increased for APL card holders, for every kilo Rs 3. From now on wards the price will be Rs 13 for per kilo of wheat.The reason for increasing the price of APL card holders only to give subsidy to Below Poverty Line (BPL) card holders.The state government claim of giving subsidized rate rice to BPL and priority group is a hallow claim. The reality is APL card holders are bearing the subsidy indirectly for BPL and priority groups. The whole act was carried out by keeping the APL card holders in dark. The state government is indulged with all kind of irregularities in the name of Food Security Act (FSA). The government is acting smart to fool the APL card holders. In the name of subsidy, people of the state are mislead.The subsidy money is taken from APL card holder tactfully, in return Manik Sarkar government takes the credit. From any angle it cannot be termed as subsidy. Sarkar government after getting repeated threat from centre of stopping sending rice, at last from September 1st last FSA was introduced in the state. As a result, the centre will directly monitor the performance of all ration shops.The fact is no subsidy is given by Manik Sarkar’s government. Gang of 10 robbers from Assam involved i | AGARTALA, September 3 (TIWN): In yet another major blow, digging deep to the incident of SBI ATM heist, A.D.Nagar police on Thursday revealed that a gang of 10 miscreants are involved in the entire ATM loot and lifting case from Beltatli SBI ATM kiosk under A.D.Nagar police station on August 18 midnight. Talking to TIWN correspondent on Thursday, A.D.Nagar police station O/C Inspector Soumen Das said that representatives of the state police lead by him went to Assam seeking to nab the absconding culprits and has discovered that a gang of 10 members are involved in this crime and police has arrested one more related to this case from Assam, identified as Rabindra Baishya.He further said that, Rabindra Biashya is a resident of Assam Doli bari area under Assam Haju police station. The arrested Baishya is the driver of the vehicle AS 25 AC6928 which was used in the robbery on the night of the incident. However, the arrestee is sent to four day police remand.In a joint collaboration with the Assam police, A.D.Nagar police had also collected huge evidence from Assam related to the robbery and has identified all the four other absconding culprits.
