State to start 225 classes for upper level students and 210 classes for lower level, says Minister Bhanulal Saha

AGARTALA, September 5 (TIWN): Information and Cultural Affairs Minister Bhanulal Saha on Saturday said that there will be 225 classes for the upper level students and 210 classes for the lower level as per the order of the HC which will improve the education system in the state.

Addressing the Teacher’s day programme at Rabindra Bhavan, Minister Saha accepting the dearth teachers in the state said that for the teaching profession an individual should be at least graduate pass. Therefore, the state government is creating various colleges to increase the graduate in the state.

Besides, he also said that despite of several initiatives taken by the state government to increase the education quality in the state, still the population is facing problem with the education system.

Therefore, he urged teachers to take fruitful initiatives to increase the quality of the education system in the state. The students should also attend the class regularly and besides the parents should also take initiatives to send their children to schools.

Enhancing the beauty of Teacher-Student relationship Minister said that teacher student relationship is very important for the children. A positive relationship between the student and the teacher is difficult to establish, but can be found for both individuals at either end.

He also said that the qualities for a positive relationship can vary to set a learning experience approachable and inviting the students to learn.

A teacher and student who have the qualities of good communications, respect in a classroom, and show interest in teaching from the point of view of the teacher and learning from a student will establish a positive relationship in the classroom, added Saha.

However, Social Welfare & Social Education Minister Bijita Nath said that every teacher should follow the foot prints of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakhrishnan and should improve the skills of teaching.

India has been celebrating Teacher's Day on September 5, since 1962. The day commemorates the birthday of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakhrishnan, a philosopher and a teacher par excellence, and his contribution towards the Indian education system.

However, on this auspicious occasion, Information and Cultural Affairs Minister Bhanulal Saha has released the magazine ‘Smoronika: Shikha Samachar’ of the School Education Department.
