AGARTALA, September 4 (TIWN): On the eve of teacher’s day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with students directly through video conferencing at Umakanta English medium school and Sishu Bihar school on Friday.
However, it is to be mentioned here that Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday also released a commemorative coin and a circulation coin in honor of former President of India Dr Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan.
However, President Pranab Mukherjee also reached out to students across the nation at Delhi on the eve of Teachers' Day.
Teachers' Day is celebrated in the memory Dr Radhakrishnan who was the second President of India, educationist, teacher and philosopher.
The PM Narendra Modi released a commemorative coin of Rs 125 and a circular coin of Rs 10 at New Delhi's Manekshaw Auditorium in presence of MoS Finance Jayant Sinha and HRD Minister Smriti Irani.
On the eve of his 125th birth anniversary, PM interacted with nearly 800 students and 60 teachers from various schools and with students outside through the video conferencing mode.
To mark the celebration of Teachers’ day, PM Modi will also interact with the students of Umakanta Academy through video conferencing.
