Sabroom Court Magistrate and OC lodged complaint against goons of CPI-M backed strike

AGARTALA / SABROOM, September 3 (TIWN): Following the alleged attack on the Sabroom Court Magistrate Saurav Saha and Sabroom PS OC Sanjit Sen by the picketers in front of Sabroom court, the victims has lodged a complaint with Sabroom police station demanding the arrest of the accused at earliest on Thursday.

Amidst tight security of 24-hour strike on Wednesday, called for 12 points charter of demands in one voice condemns the BJP-led NDA Government’s anti worker, anti-peasants, anti-people and pro-corporate and many others, it is alleged that Sabroom Court Magistrate Saurav Saha and OC Sanjit Sen were attacked by the picketers in front of the Sabroom Court office.

Even after hours of lodging complaint, police has yet failed to arrest the CPI-M backed goon’s accused in the incident at Sabroom.

It is to be mentioned here that Magistrate Saurav Saha has lodged complaint against two leader of ruling party identified as Bijay Dey and Biswajit Dey and other picketers.  On the other hand, OC Sanjit Das has lodged complaint against 4 persons.

Resentment brewed up after Sabroom Court Magistrate went to the court for official work despite of strict vigilance and objection in front of the court. Following the heated clash of words between the magistrate and picketers clash brewed up among them and after a while, when the Saha began his work, the picketers thronged in to the office and broke the doors and windows along with benches.

During the incident, Saha somehow escaped to the washroom and managed to save his life. Later South S.P Bhanu Pada Chakraborty recovered magistrate Saurav Saha from the hand of the picketers and brought the situation under control.

Expressing resentment regarding the untoward incident Saha allegedly said that it is very awful that the picketers had attacked a magistrate of a court.

However, question is raised on the silent role of the police in this incident.
