AGARTALA, September 4 (TIWN): Tripura's Healthcare system further deteriorated under Chief Minister Manik Sarkar's 'Golden Era' as Hospitals tuned into killing fields. Fuming over the negligence in the treatment by the doctors which led to the death of 3 people in a row of same family including two minors at IGM hospital on Friday morning brewed resentment among the doctors and deceased family members.Alleging discrepancy in the treatment by the doctors of the hospitals the family members of the deceased has lodged complaint with west police station demanding arrest of the accused doctors. The deceased are identified as Sristi Das (7), Maxi Das (9) and Basanti Debbarma (52).Reportedly, the resentment brewed up when the four people of the same family belonging to Nagichorra area were admitted to IGM hospital with mere report of food poisoning on Wednesday night. The family members alleged that due to the negligence in the treatment by the doctors the three people including two minors already died and one is left in critical condition at the hospital. The family members of the deceased stated that the health condition of Sristi Das (7), Maxi Das (9) Basanti Debbarma (52) and Lipika Das (20) started to deteriorate after they had consume a sweet dish at their home on Wednesday. Seeing the declining health condition of the victims the family members rushed them to IGM hospital and got them admitted for further treatment. Due to the negligence by the doctors in treatment and for proving them wrong treatment the 7 year old Sristi Das already died on Wednesday night followed by the sudden demise of Maxi Das (9) in the hospital on Thursday.

However, collision sparked off between the family members and the doctors when the death of the 52 year old Basanti Debbarma came to them as a bolt from the blue.

‘Only because of the wrong treatment of the doctors we have lost our family members’, alleged the deceased family member.

It is an instance of gross medical negligence and the medical personnel should be given exemplary punishment to stop the recurrence of such worst incident in the hospital, said a family member of the deceased.

However, the family members are now worried about Lipika Das who is fighting with her life in the hospital bed.

Only because of the slackness attitude of the doctors the 3 people list their lives and one is fighting for her life in the death bed.

A pall of gloom descended over the family of the deceased with the sudden demise of the 3 people of the same family together.

Under Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar's rule and last Health Minister Tapan Chakraborty's stint Tripura's healthcare system took a nosedive and hit rock bottom.

However it doesn't matter to Chief Minister, neither Tapan Chakraborty - they all go for treatment to AIIMS Delhi whenver they sneeze in Tripura.

CPI-M Ministers will never enter to Govt GB Hospital or IGM Hospital for treatments - these so called 'poor' leaders fly to Delhi to get admitted to AIIMS or Apollo for high expensive treatments.
