AGARTALA, September 5 (TIWN): After criticism loomed over the negligence of higher education department under the tyranny of left front, Tripura Youth congress gheraoued ST Welfare Director Rabindra Reang on Friday at his office in allegation of discrepancy regarding the admission of the students in different colleges outside the state.

It is alleged that, the department is engaged in discrepancy of huge amount of money from the student and is playing with the life of the innocent students.

The department has selected two colleges for getting the students admission in the college including ABK school and college institute and JESCO institute of nursing. Tripura Youth congress alleged that both these colleges don’t have proper faculty members, neither any proper accommodation facility nor does it has laboratory to conduct classes.

Along with all other basic amenities the colleges also don’t have any proper infrastructure neither any adequate faculty members.

All though the department has finally slammed a rule over the authority of Education Fair organizer committee to take prior permission and registration from the state higher education department before organizing any fair in the state, but indirectly the department is exploiting the life of the students till today.

According to our source, the illegal business in the name of admitting students in ‘C’ category colleges by a section of brokers and agents has become rampant in Tripura and for past around four years state government has shown their negligence in this issue.

At least hundreds of students are going out of the state for perusing higher studies, but are deprived at large at those abroad ‘C’ category colleges, where they do not have minimum accommodations and infrastructures for the students.

However, TYC leader Vicky Prasad along with state NSUI Vice President Amar Nath Chakraborty along with other dignitaries remained present in the programme.
