DM expressed misery over the absence of teachers on the occasion of Teacher’s Day
TIWN

KAILASHAHAR, September 5 (TIWN): When the state has been celebrating the auspicious occasion of the Teacher’s Day, the teachers of Kailashahar sub-division were least bothered to attend the programme organized at the Kailashahar Town Hall.

Expressing resentment over the least participation of the teachers at the programme District Magistrate Mrinal Kanti Nath said that there should be active participation of the teachers in such kind of programme.

Besides, he also said that the teachers should continuously monitor the student in order for him or her to be aware of any difficulties the student is having.

Understanding the child’s problem, fear, or confusion will give the teacher a better understanding the child’s learning difficulties. Once the teacher becomes aware of the problems, he or she will have more patience with the student, thus making the child feel secure or less confused when learning is taking place in the classroom, added.

Nath said that a teacher should be friend, philosopher and a guide.

During the programme, Principal of Ramkrishna Mahavidyalaya Sambhunath Rakhit said that in the occasion of the Teachers’ Day the teachers themselves are missing. Among hundreds of teachers in the sub-division only 25 were present at the programme.

Criticising the absence of teachers in the programme, he further said that the teachers are so busy that they could not make out 2 hours to participate in the programme.
