BG Passenger Trial train service in Agar | AGARTALA, April 30 (TIWN): Raising the hope of the people Tripura to a new heights North Eastern Frontier Railway has officially announced to start BG Passenger Trail Train in Silchar -Agartala route from 2nd May. In a letter issued from the Office of the General Manager( Operations), NF Railway, Malligaon dated 29/04/2016 announced that NFR has decided to run one pair of Trail Passenger Special Train between Agartala-Silchar for temporary basis in the newly converted BG section. The trial train will run on 2nd May and on 4th May while the second trial train will run on 3rd May and 5th May . The composition of the trial trains will be 2 SLR, 10 GS/GSCZ (12) with one rake . Primary maintenance will be done at Silchar as such facilities along with cleaning facilities are not available at Agartala Station . Tripura’s power situation grim, f | AGARTALA, April 30 (TIWN): Tripura’s power situation continue to turn worst under the mismanagement of Power Minister Manik Dey and TSECL authorities, as they have not planned to meet the peak demand of 260MW. 101MW NEEPCO Monarchak Plant is generating power due to ONGC’s uninterrupted gas supply, said NEEPCO official. Talking to TIWN correspondent on Friday, a NEEPCO official said that there is no problem in gas supply and ONGC is continuously supplying gas to Monarchak, and Monarchak power plant is also able to generate a total of 65 to 70 MW power on an average on the gas turbine but yet to meet full capacity 101MW. Official also said that if ONGC continues its gas supply, Monarchak will be able to generate full load of 101MW which will help the grim power situation. Tripura's 101 MW gas-based Monarchak power plant was completely shut down due to lack of supply of gas from ONGC till February this year. After arresting the accused were kept under the custody of west police station. The accused were produced before the court on Thursday. The sources further said that along with the cannabis the custom has also seized a total of Rs 29,000 cash from the vehicle.
