AGARTALA, April 29 (TIWN): Even after passage of 24 hours of the loot case of Rs 5 lakh from Shivnagar area, police is yet to nab the accused.
However, police on Friday claimed that they are conducting investigation and are tracking the CCTV footage for arresting the accused.
According to police they have traced the CCTV footage and have suspected one accused into the case but yet to identify him. Police further said that they are yet to identify the accused and are conducting serious investigation into case.
It is to be mentioned here that, allegedly two thieves on Thursday looted an amount of Rs 5 lakhs from shivnagar area under broad day light.
The incident took place on Thursday when the father and daughter after withdrawing a huge cash of Rs 5 lakh from Axis bank were returning to their home in motor vehicle through Shivnagar road.
Reportedly, when they were returning in their motor cycle, at the same time two youths from the back dashed their motor bike and snatched the bag from the hand of the daughter leaving them seriously injured at the spot.
When the thieves had dashed the motor cycle, both the father and the daughter fell down from the motor cycle and taking the advantage the thieves have snatched the bag full of cash from them and flew way from the spot before anyone could trace them.
This incident has triggered resentment in the area. However, the localities immediately rush to their help and informed the police.
Getting alarm the college tilla outpost police reached to the spot and took a note of the incident.
Talking to TIWN correspondent, police said that they have taken a note of the incident and are further investigating the case.
However, police is suspecting that the thieves were following them from the bank and has actives executed this plan.
