AGARTALA, April 29 (TIWN): Ganatantrik jukta front on Friday placed deputation to Deputy inspector general (DIG) at police quarter demanding to take action against SDM Mohanpur for allegedly beating up a youth unnecessarily at Mohanpur few days back.

The members of Ganatantrik jukta front further stated that they have visited GBP hospital and met Sanjib Gope of Mohnapur sub division in Ward MS -1.  Reportedly, Sanjib Gope said to the members of Ganatantrik jukta front that he was coming towards Mohanpur Bazar while he was stuck in Traffic jam seeking ways to come out of the jam. However, according to Sanjib Gope suddenly SDM of Mohanpur sub division and started beating him. Later he was also dragged to the police station but there also he continued beating Sanjib brutally leaving him brutally injured.

Therefore demanding strict action against SDM of Mohanpur sub division the Ganatantrik jukta front on Friday placed deputation to Deputy inspector general (DIG) at police quarter

It is to be mentioned here that SDM o f MohanpurDr. Sailesh Yadav was removed from his post after a video   and photos, found him assaulting a man, after it was made public through media, sources said. He is now transferred at Sales Tax department. However, Dr. Yadav joined as SDM, Mohanpur from central deputation.   

However, the other side of the story reports that Yada with his security guard assaulted a timber smuggler on the basis of suspection and later he was admitted in GB hospital and is still now undergoing treatment with serious injuries on his head and other parts of the body. A case is also filed in Sidhai police station.

Reportedly, after the incident Jayanta Debbarma is now appointed as the new SDM of Mohanpur after Dr.yadav is remove from the post.
