Rs 13 Lakhs Cash robbed from SIS Prosegu | UDAIPUR, March 10 (TIWN): On yet another startling incident today on a broad day light at Udaipur town, a cash of Rs. 13 lakhs has been robbed from one Security Intelligence Service Prosegur van. The incident occurred at around 12:00 pm. today at Udaipur near Kiran Petroleum filling station. However the miscreants managed to rob the cash showing a thumb to the security personnel deployed in front of the van.Reportedly, the bank workers today withdrawn Rs. 13 lakh from UBI bank and another cash of Rs. 35 lakh from the SBI bank today and kept it inside the SIS Prosegur service van bearing number AS-01 FC-1264 and later proceeded towards the ATM of both the bank to deposit the money. however, later the van reached at Kiran petroleum to fill oil while two ATM Custodian went to the SBI ATM adjacent to the petroleum to deposit the cash amount to the ATM. At the meantime another bag of cash of Rs. 13 lakh that has been withdrawn from the UBI bank was stolen from the van. Flight occupancy rate increased to more | AGARTALA, March 10 (TIWN): Union Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) had increased the flight occupancy rate by more than 80% from 70% in Agartala sector, said Transport Secretary Samarjit Bhowmik talking to TIWN on Monday evening. He further added that the MoCA has recently asked the Jet Airways to resume its service in the sector for Agartala-Kolkata route. Earlier Tripura has asked for 16 aircrafts in the Agartala sector till the railways finish its broad gauge project by 2017.It is mentionable here that to study the feasibility of introducing more aircraft in the Agartala sector, the Union civil aviation ministry earlier sought monthly flight occupancy data from Tripura. More than eight lakh people travel from Agartala to Guwahati, Imphal, Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad every year. Air traffic has been heavy because of lack of other means of transport. On the issue of Agartala airport extension, Bhowmik expressed his displeasure over the project work. ADC draft voter list contains 434 Pancha | AGARTALA, March 9 (TIWN): Tripura Pradesh Congress ST cell found loopholes in the recently published ADC draft voter lists for the upcoming Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) election. PCC President Birajit Sinha alleged that at least 434 voters from the village panchayat areas have been illegally included in the ADC draft voter lists. “We would take a legal path if our demands for rectification of the voter lists are not met soon, we already sent a memorandum to the election commissioner in this regardâ€, Birajit said. Recently the ST Cell meeting held at Agartala Congress Bhawan has taken certain issues related to the recently published ADC draft voter lists finding several loopholes on it. However Birajit also alleged that there is a massive lack of drinking water facilities in the tribal dominated areas across the state. Tripura Urban Transport Corporation achi | AGARTALA, March 8 (TIWN): Tripura Urban Transport Corporation collected a profit of 22 lacks s 60 thousand 959 rupees in the recent years through JUNRM scheme. While, despite State Government’s declaration of running 100 buses, still only 70 buses are running in the city. But the condition of the TRTC buses are in very deplorable condition. In the meantime, up to January 21st, 2015, 293 bus permits were given to the vehicles. Recently a meeting was held in regard of sending the refugees to their hometown Mizoram, while the date has not been fixed yet. Talking to TIWN today DM North Dr. Sandeep Rathod said that the repatriation process of the next batch of the reang refugees here at Kanchanpur to begin soon. The actual time and date for repatriation would be decided soon in a state level meeting, said DM. However, it is mentionable here that the Tripura government had already urged the central government to take steps to send over 31,000 tribal refugees back to Mizoram to maintain ethnic harmony in the northeastern region.Talking to TIWN, DM North Dr. Sandeep Rathod said that recently a meeting was held with the leaders of the bru refugees living at Kanchanpur under North District in order to kick start their repatriation process.
