KAMALPUR, MAR. 09, (TIWN): After a prolonged saga of bike theft, at last Kamalpur Police succeeded to nab two bike thieves from Dhanchandra VC yesterday late night. Police also rescued the lost bike and people hoped for busting out other criminals associated with such crime.
According to police, on 5th March last, one Arup Ahir of Marachara went to Durgachowmuhani market for some works and entered a shop. When he came out of the shop after a while he found his TVS Apache RTR bike missing. He raised a hue and cry but in vain. The locale and the Ahir family kept a close watch for the bike. At last yesterday they informed the police that, the bike had rode by some Rajesh Debbarma (22) and Parimohan Debbarma (22) of Dhanchandra VC. Then police took the duo under custody and after interrogation they admitted about the theft. They also helped to rescue the bike from a gorge near the Kamalpur-Kumarghat NEC road. Police nabbed the duo. Local people heaved a sigh of relief that the police might bust the complete racket soon
