As a part of their punitive steps, AMC had cut off the electricity line of the multistoried building. HC issues notice to State Govt. for repl | AGARTALA, March 18 (TIWN): After a major censure faced by the CNG filling station at Agartala TRTC complex, Krishnanagar, the High Court recently issued a show cause notice to the state govt. and its departments involved with setting up of the filling station, for the replacement of the CNG station. The HC division bench under the Chief Justice Deepak Gupta and Justice S.C. Das recently after hearing the Writ petition filed by the locals of Krishnanagar issued the notice to the state govt. The locals of Krishnanagar filed the writ petition with the HC demanding to ensure security at the area. According to sources, the extremists’ threat has started rising in the eastern sector with incidents of kidnapping of workers for subscription. The banned outfit earlier served letters to the villagers to give subscription as land and property tax. In the letter, they fixed the amounts ranging from Rs. 2000 to Rs. 12000 as per the living standards. TSR jawan mysterious murder in Udaipur : | UDAIPUR, March 17 (TIWN): In the sensational murder case of TSR jawan Manik Roy in Atharabola,Udaipur, two accused have been detained by the Police. Victim Manik Roy's wife and one of his friend Rajib Roy have been arrested by the Police last night. Banani Sarkar (27) and Rajib Roy (30) was nabbed from Madhabpur and Golaghati respectively. Rajib is a TSR Jawan of 13th Battalion which is headquartered in Kanchanpur. TSR Jawan Manik Roy was killed in Atharobhola under Killa Police Station in Udaipur Sub Division. Manik Roy’s murder took place at around 1.15pm to 1.30pm on Thursday near Gungrai , around 12km outskirts of Udaipur . Both the accused produced before the Udaipur court today by the Police seeking remand so that further interrogation can unearthed. However CJM Court Judge Mridul Chakraborty denied police remand and sent accused to Jail custody till March 23 and asked Police to submit case diary on March 23. Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Ratan Kumar Das has said that Prima Facie enquiry reveals that the killing might have occurred due to extra marital affairs. AMC’s final ultimatum to Rose Val | AGARTALA, March 17 (TIWN): Final ultimatum by Agartala Municipal Corporation(AMC) to Rose valley on the issue of illegally occupying the Sakuntala Road office likely to be end on Tuesday. SEBI bars Kolkata-based I-Core from rais | AGARTALA/KOLKATA, March 17 (TIWN): Market regulator SEBI on Monday ordered Kolkata based I-Core E-Services (ICES) and its promoters not to raise funds through issuance of securities besides restricting it from the capital markets.The Securities Exchange Board of India (SEBI), in its interim order, said: "It is alleged that the company was engaged in fund mobilising activity through issue of equity shares to more than 49 persons without complying with the various provisions of the Companies Act, 1956 and SEBI DIP Guidelines, 2000."The firm is already under the scanner from Serious Fraud Investigation Office.The company had allegedly collected funds to the tune of Rs 45.74 crore during 2009-2010.The interim order passed Monday also prevented the firm to "issue prospectus or any offer document or issue advertisement for soliciting money from the public for the issue of securities".In July last year, the SEBI had barred ICES from mobilising money by issuing securities and had also restricted the firm and its directors from the capital market till further directions were issued. | 17-Mar-2015 |
