Intl Womens Day : Voices from Udaipur

Udaipur, March 8 (TIWN): International Women's Day (IWD), also called International Working Women's Day, is celebrated on March 8 every year. In different regions the focus of the celebrations ranges from general celebration of respect, appreciation and love towards women to a celebration for women's economic, political, and social achievements.

 Journalist Susmita Majumdar met women at Udaipur from different sections of society to know their reactions on Intl  womens day.

They gave their messages for the society and as well as for the women.

“Women should be fearless anyway.”

Ms. Madhabhi Debbarma OC of the Women Police Station described her life and success with the correspondent of TRIPURAINFOWAY. She also mentioned the increasing domestic violence towards women, as per the records it is a very ugly face of the society.

“ I appreciate the team of TRIPURAINFOWAY for this initiative. My family’s support  and positive attitudes of my co-workers gave me success.”
 
Madhabi Debbarma after doing her Master degree joined Tripura police in 2006 as a Sub-inspector and from 2009 she is working in Udaipur. From 2012 she is working as the OC (in-charge) in Udaipur Women Police Station. In 2014 she received the State Honor of the “Best Investigator Officer”.

“Women should give times for own selves. They would maintain not only her house but take care of own beauty. This is the only way to lead a happy life.”
 
These ladies are working in  “Glamour world”, a renowned  ladies and gents beauty parlour of Udaipur. They as beauticians feel proud that they are now self dependent.

“We can take our own decisions by educating our selves.”- Ms. Urmila Mog (Hindi Teacher).
Ms. Mog highlighted on the importance of education in every person’s life. 
 
 “ Education is the first step to make own self independent. Educated women need not to be depend on others .It is very necessary to be educated either to get a job or to develop own self. For those women also, who are homemakers, education is very important, because to maintain the family and how to give a better generation  to the country it is very necessary to be educated. Every girl should complete their education first.”
