Talking to TIWN correspondent, CPI-M state secretary Bijan Dhar said that the party was investigating the allegations raised against him and as soon as they found the allegations true, the party expelled him. However, question irks why was the party silent until the election, why was it kept hidden from the people and was suddenly brought into notice just after the completion of the election. In a drive to keep up the good image of the Left Front party, just a day ahead of the election results, CPI-M has kicked off its one MLA of Amarpur Assembly segment Manoranjan Acharjee on charge of moral error. It is to be mentioned here that although the party has expelled him but no police complaint is lodged against him and letting him move free in the state. The gruesome incident took place on Nov 27 and intentionally the ruling party's big heads hush up the matter and remained silent on the issue. CPI-M legislator Manoranjan Acharjee had immediately resigned from the Tripura Assembly after the party expelled him on charges of wrongdoing. | 13-Dec-2015 |
