KAMALPUR, Dec 14 (TIWN): Violating the law and order of the Tripura transport department and the Tripura High Court order, the unruly auto drivers across the State are found carrying maximum passengers.

Allegation has been raised by the residence of Kalyanpur, that despite of High Court’s order the unruly auto divers are carrying more passengers than the decided number. It has been mentioned in place of three passengers on the back of the auto, the unruly auto drivers are carrying six to seven passengers.

Besides, the locals also mentioned that the Mahindra Gio vehicle which had to carry 6 + 1 passengers, desperately carrying more than the approved number of passengers.

Yet after putting restrictions on the auto drivers here in Tripura for not carrying more than three passengers, the unruly auto rickshaw driver across the capital city has been found recently violating the rules and regulations of the High Court and the transport department keeps in their babugiri trend by carrying more than three passengers on auto.

The Transport department during the year 2014 putting a restriction on the auto rickshaw vehicles decided stringent measures would be taken as per motor vehicle act for other passenger carrying vehicles in violation of passenger limit of the respective vehicles. But till today the department has failed to bring a control over the worsen situation.

Allegation has been raised against the Department that despite of violating the High Court’s order in the Kalyanpur area, the Transport Department is not taking any action against the unruly auto drivers.

However, it is t be mentioned here that the Transport Department were asked to take strict action against unruly drivers for violating the HC’s order but till day the Department is playing a mute role in the areas.

Along with the Kalyanpur, in most of the area the passengers are facing harassment due to violation of the High Court’s order.
