BJP to strengthen the party, preparing for next election, says Sudhindra Dasgupta

AGARTALA, Dec 14 (TIWN): Newly opening account with four seats in the Municipal election, State BJP President Sudhindra Dasgupta claims to strengthen the party to gain momentum in the assembly election.

Facing massive loss in the Municipal election, State Bharatiya Janta Party expressed confidence to strengthen the party for the municipal poll.

Talking to TIWN correspondent, State BJP President Sudhindra Dasgupta said that State Bharatiya Janta Party will strengthen its party to gain momentum in the assembly election.

Besides, he also mentioned that the work of the party will decide whom the state public will choose to set the future of the state.

Bharatiya Janta Party on December 12 suffered a major loss with four seats among 310 seats. The BJP has suffered a major shock with such a fall in the election result.

However, somehow the party has managed to gain four seats in the municipal election with two seats in Dharmamnagar and two in Kumarghat.

Although BJP claimed his party has fielded promising, educated and dedicated youngsters for the civic bodies' polls still could not reach to the people. The BJP has put up a record number of 28 women candidates in the Agartala Municipal Corporation, 13 municipal councils and six nagar panchayats.

However, State President of Bharatiya Janta Party Sudhindra Dasgupta said the party will focus on strengthening its root aiming to win the next election.
