BJP demanded strict action against the expelled CPM MLA Manoranjan Acharjee

AGARTALA, Dec 16 (TIWN): Bharatiya Janta Party of Tripura on Tuesday placed deputation to DG K. Nagaraj, demanding to take strict action against CPM MLA Manoranjan Acharjee who has been recently expelled from the party on moral error ground.Manoranjan Acharjee, MLA of Amarpur Assembly Constituency, was expelled from the party following a complaint of sexual abuse of a five-and-half year old girl in Amarpur.Enhancing about the chaos and attack over the BJP candidates in various parts of the State, State President of BJP Sudhndra Dasgupta condemns over the incident.Besides, he also said that BJP candidate of Melaghar ward number 5 Gita Das (Saha) has been attacked and her house has been left messed up.On the other hand, an independent candidate of Bishalgarh namely Nur Jahan has been attacked on December 13.Talking to TIWN correspondent, BJP State President Sudhindra Dasgupta stated that the party is against the demand of Tipra Land of the tribal-based political party Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura.He further said that the party is totally against IPFT rally voiced the demand for a separate tribal state with areas under the tribal autonomous district council constituted under the sixth schedule of the constitution in 1981.Besides, he said that the Party condemns the demand for a separate state is aimed at creating fresh trouble in the peaceful state and the rally which creates problem to the people moving in the state.

He further said that the way the rally has been conducted in the State with paint in the body disrupting public life with barbaric shouting, scaring people at capital of Tripura demanding a new state, police should take steps so that the common people are not harassed.

IPFT with their violent barbaric outlook openly shouted at the city participating in a rally in demand of a separate state.

Reportedly, in some places some of the youths in uncontrolled situation were harassing people, drinking liquor from soda bottles, scared shopkeepers complained before the police, said Dasgupta.

However, the party demanded that the Tripura should take an immediate action against untoward incidents happening in the state so that these incidences do not disrupt the public life.
