Kamalpur : SDJM granted bail to Prantosh | KAMALPUR, Oct 30 (TIWN): Nabbed from Ambassa and one of the absconding prime accused of sensational Dilip Ghosh murder, Prantosh Das alias Enamul Haque was granted bail against the Ambassa P.S. case no. 54/2014 under sections 474 and 25(1B)(A) of IPC in the court of SDJM, at Kamalpur today. But as he was declared wanted in the Dilip Ghosh murder case, so the SDJM ordered him one night Jail Custody and he would be handed over to West Agartala P.S. tomorrow.On 29/10/2014 last Ambassa police nabbed Prantosh from the house of some "Shantu Modak", where he was rented for last one month inb the name of "Enamul Haque". 10,323 teachers’ termination case | AGARTALA, October 29 (TIWN): Uncertainty prevails over the fate of 10,323 teachers’ termination case. At the time of first sitting regarding the judgement of High Court, to Supreme Court, Government had appealed to the Court to also put a stay order in the service of these teachers. So that the employment of these teachers not terminated as per Tripura High Court order on May 7. In response, Supreme Court mentioned that the case likely to be scheduled for hearing before the tentative termination date scheduled by the High Court of Tripura i.e December 31, 2014. Now, as the situation had changed and first hearing moved to January 9, 2015, therefore, in order to save the jobs of 10,323 teachers, Government will be filing interlocutory application to the Supreme Court.Speaking to the reporters, Education Minister, Tapan Chakraborty said that, at first the Government thought that, a SC stay order on the High Court Judgement should also save the tenure of service of these teachers. Major fire devastates Steel furniture fa | AGARTALA, October 28 (TIWN): Private owned SSS steel furniture factory at Bordowali area of the city was gutted in a massive fire that broke out at 9:30 am and kept smoldering till 11 am on Tuesday. However, loss of life was averted but goods worth Rs. five lakh were gutted in the inferno, it is learnt.The fire was detected in right corner of the factory at about 9:30 am. Five fire tenders were pressed into service to douse the flames. Civil officials accompanied by Police officials reached to the spot and oversaw fire-fighting operations for nearly an hour. Although there was no report of any causality, there was panic in the area because just in front of the factory Rajdhani Petrol Pump exists.At around 9:30 am, some workers saw smoke blowing from the factory. They immediately informed the locals who rushed to the factory and informed the fire service about the incident. Three fire fighters arrived on the scene immediately.
