Agartala, Oct 29 (TIWN): A 6-day long Orientation Course for Programme Officers of National Service Scheme (NSS) organized by Indian institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE), Guwahati was inauguratedWednesday at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Yuva Awas, Khejurbagan. The programme is organized in collaboration with the State NSS Cell, Tripura Ministry for Youth Affairs and Sports (YAS). The 6-day long Orientation Course Programme will be concluded on November 03, next.
The Chief Guest and Tripura Minister for YAS Department- Sahid Chowdhury inaugurated the 6-day long Orientation Course for Programme Officers of NSS while the inaugural session was presided over by the Director of YAS Department- Dulal Chandra Das. The welcome address was delivered by the State Liaison Officer, NSS State Cell- D. Chowdhury.
Besides, In-charge of NSS Regional Centre, Guwahati- S.K. Basumatary, Course Director and Head, IIF, Guwahati- Sriparna B. Baruah and Project Officer of IIF, Guwahati- Hemanta Rabba graced the dais as special guests and delivered their essential speeches.
During the 6-day long programme, various topics like- Philosophy of NSS, Community Involvement, Funding Pattern of NS, Expenditure at the Directorate level, University/ College/ School level, settlement of accounts, Concept of Entrepreneur and Entrepreneurship, role of NSS programme, Administrative Structure of NSS, role of NSS unit for disaster management, Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) exercise in village, team building and leadership and Rural Development Schemes will be discussed by the experts.
