Single leakage found in HRSG; OTPC UNIT- | PALATANA/UDAIPUR,October 18 (TIWN): Technical experts of BHEL,OTPC and Sugex Oman found a single leakage in the Heat Recovery Steam Generator(HRSG) of the first unit of OTPCs 726.6MW Combined Cycle Gas Turbine(CCGT) Thermal Power Plant in Palatana. At 11pm on Friday night the experts entered the HRSG through manhole and after carefully examining the HRSG they found a single leakage and thus the anxiety of a major leakage was over. As of now the experts are hopeful to start generation from the Unit-I from the midnight of 21st October. MGNREGA 17 Crore scam : Trinamool Congre | AGARTALA, October 17 (TIWN): Tripura Pradesh Trinamool Congress today gheraoed the Bishalgarh Police Station demanding immediate arrest of all 12 officials including former Bishalgarh Block Development Officer , Scamster Bimal Chakraborty in connection to Rs. 17 crores scam in Bishalgarh RD Block. They also demanded for CBI investigation into the Scam.Leaders from eight Assembly constituencies of the Trinamool Congress joined the movement. “Chief Minister is trying to conceal the scam of Bishalgarh RD Block. Without arresting them, they were merely suspended from their post,†said Chairman of Tripura Pradesh Trinamool Congress Ratan Chakraborty. Mr. Chakraborty alleged that Finance Minister (FM) Bhanu Lal Saha is behind the scam. The role of Police and Government in this regard is doubtful, he added. Ratan Chakraborty further said that, the police are conducting fake raids in the name of investigation to cover up the case. In the Rs 5 crore RMSA scam the main accused Arnab Chakraborty, his mother Kajal Rani Chakraborty and his wife Sangeeta Chakraborty have been arrested and now they are in judicial custody. But in the Rs 17crore MGNREGA scam police has made only fabricated raids in Bimal Chakraborty and some other accused persons' residences and that too after 25 days since incumbent BDO lodged FIR in the Bishalgarh R D Block. Till date police has no clue about Bimal's hideout. None of his family members is learnt to have been interrogated so far. Police today conducted raids in the houses of the four accused persons related to the multi crore scam. The four accused are Mita Malakar resident of Grandouse area, Nibas Palit resident of Madhya Bahdharghat, Subir Wokil and Kishore Banik resident of Joynagar.
