AGARTALA,October 29 (TIWN): A row controversy has begun on the very first day of the Hearing of the Public Interest Litigation(PIL) filed by Congress and Trinamul Congress. On the very first day Chief Justice Deepak Gupta is learnt to have expressed his discontent over the organized campaign of Congress MLA cum Leader of Opposition Sudip Roy Barman and other Congress leaders through a section of print and electronic media even before the case was raised for hearing. Eyeing the importance of the case and the attention of the common people, High Court expressed its discontent against the seemingly media conference done by a section of Congress leadership inside the High Court without prior permission. The Judiciary feels that this against the dignity of the court.

During the Hearing the High Court said that whether the investigation is going on properly or not can only be decided after the review of the Case Diary(CD). Accordingly Chief Justice Deepak Kumar Gupta asked the Investigation Officer(IO) Officer In charge of Bishalgarh Police Station Kanti Lal Baidya to produce the CD with in 24th November , 2014. Moreover, Congress Petitioners also demanded CBI investigation ; reacting to which High Court also said that after verifying all necessary documents if the Court is satisfied that the investigation is manipulated, only then it will interfere. Speaking to TIWN on Wednesday night over phone, a Defence Lawyer cum Government Pleader Tapas Datta Majumder said," The petitioners appealed the court to pass an interim order stopping the ongoing investigation and hand over the case to CBI. But Hon'ble High Court did not say anything specific on that issue. But Court ordered the IO to produce the CD before the court by 24th November. And on the other hand , Court has also indicated that without verification of the case related documents it cannot be said that the current investigation is not going on properly."

       Another petitioner cum senior advocate Arun Chandra Bhowmik said TIWN over phone," In our petition we have categorically mentioned that inspite of the note given by the then Finance Minister Badal Chowdhury on 19/05/2014  to lodge FIR against the acsused officials , no FIR was done. And even on 19/09/2014 when practically the FIR was made by the incumbent BDO it is found that the investigation is not going properly. And the prime accused Bimal Chakraborty, who is very close to the core group of CPI(M) and Manik Sarkar , it is clear that police won't do any step against him during investigation. Rather Bimal Chakraborty was well guarded by a list of highest political authority. However, for me it is not proper to the court with a group of people and give bites to media while staying inside the court. "

       Meanwhile a highly placed TIWN source in the High Court told TIWN," The Chief Justice , though verbally, has told the Congres lawyer to tell his clients not to waste valuable time of the court simply to make ' Publicity Interest Campaign' in the court. This is indeed, a clear indication that High Court is not at all satisfied with the 'Show piece drama' enacted by Congress inside the High Court Complex on Tuesday while filing PIL." Probably a senior advocate of the High Court made the crucial remark," The PIL is a life saving drug for the Core Group of Congress. Smelling that Birjit Sinha may be the appointed as Leader of Opposition and Gopal Roy as the PCC President , So, Sudip Roy Barman had to do something to impress the Delhi group, especially 10 Janpath  retain his post. But what they did on the very first day, was an indication that its advantage goes to Manik Sarkar & Co. It is really mysterious that to simply file a PIL Congress delegation sought assistance of a lawyer from Kolkata and a lawyer who is not well aware of this case. This also indicates that Congress leadership lost their faith on the lawyers of Tripura. But what its lawyer did on the first day in the court can only be called a ' Flop Show'"

       But the political analysts now say," Actually the entire game was made in a closed door meeting between two top level CPI(M) leaders of Manik Lobby and few topmost leaders in the current PCC's powerful lobby. In that meeting the 'DEAL' was finalized and accordingly both the parties acted as per the agreement. Indeed, by presenting the ' Flop Show' a section of PCC leadership might have gained huge financial benefit from the ruling party, but once again the section has proved that how much 'incompetent' they are. And this only will lead to another serious split within the already scattered PCC."          

While speaking to an interview,  senior advocate Arun Ch Bhowmik said," By removing Badal Chowdhury soon after the NOTE given by him and putting the charge of Finance Ministry on Bhanu Lal Saha , ruling arty has ensured that the corruption goes on a well directed and we'll panned way. Actually to suppress an incident of robbery,  Manik Sarkar has compromised with a robber " On the other hand petitioner of the Congress party Dr Ashok Sinha said," After so many years RTI gives you the weapons by means of which you can now proudly say that the man sitting in the top most position of the state govt is a thief"
