AGARTALA, March 18 (TIWN): The final notice given by the Agartala Municipal Corporation(AMC) to the Rose Valley on the illegal occupation of land at Sakuntala Road had ended yesterday. As a part of their punitive steps, AMC had cut off the electricity line of the multistoried building. Executive Engineer of Central Zone, Arun Roy while talking to TIWN, told that further steps will be taken according to the instructions of the higher authorities. However, Mr. Roy avoided the question that as to why the land was give to Rose Valley, if the Government and AMC already knew that it is illegal? This surely puts question over the actual role of the CPI(M) led State Government and Communist flavored Agartala Municipal Corporation. As a general modus operandi of Bengal based Chit fund companies, every Chit Fund company heavily donated into political party funds of Tripura and West Bengal in order to get access to prime real estates. Without Political masters blessings, it would have been impossible for Rose Valley to construct huge buildings on illegal Govt land in the heart of Agartala.

Earlier District Magistrate of West Tripura, Abhishek Singh informed earlier that, the Rose Valley had been given legal notice on March 13 to Rose Valley to withdraw its control over this building and also instructed the final ultimatum which was ended yesterday. According to highly placed sources, at present the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) officials are examining the papers and documents which they have collected during the raid at head office of chit Fund Company Rose Valley on March 4.After examining all the papers and documents the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) officials will soon arrive in the state to interrogate the people those were engaged with the Rose Valley chit fund. In the upcoming days the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) officials will conduct a series of raids in houses of the agents of Rose Valley chit fund, the source added.

It is to be mentioned here that after the cutting off the power supply one of the top functionary of Rose valley run electronics media who has always tried to create problem during the raid conducted by CBI and also misbehaved with the media persons regarding the issue has stopped functioning from today. Top Rose Valley official Ashok Saha and 11 others were also interrogated and vital leads collected. At the end of the raid CBI officials were seen collecting two large boxed containing files and cash and taking in their possession.
