Agartala, March 18 (TIWN): The honored rifle and the cap at the Martyr’s tomb at Lichubagan area were being stealed away by unknown thieves recently. However, Superintendent of Police, Bijoy Nag told that the matter was informed to them and the investigation is going on.
It is to be mention that similar to the Marty’s Tomb at India Gate, in New Delhi, to respect the jawans who had sacrificed their life for the sake of country was also built at Lichu bagan area. Chief Minister Manik Sarkar had inaugurated the tomb few months ago. One security personnel is deployed for the security. But from March 10th, the honored rifle and the cap were not witnessed in the proper places. A case was also registered in the NCC police Station. Investigation is going on.
This surely puts question mark on the duty of the security personnel appointed there. Because, it is asid that this army personnels can easily recognize the danger from very outset. A section of people thinks that there something “ghost in the mustard” itself. At the same time it also learns a lesson that security measures should be more strengthened. It is to be said that the tomb was created to pay respect to the brave soldiers. And if the incident of theft occurred in such a protected place, then will the local people be saved in the State?
