AGARTALA, March 18 (TIWN): At least four candidates of Agartala Paramananda Higher Secondary School situated at Kanchanpalli, were not allowed to sit for the ongoing annual examination of Class XI due to low percentage of attendance. The four students are from Commerce and Science stream.
The school authorities of Agartala Kanchanpalli Paramananda Higher Secondary School restricted at least 4 students of different stream to sit for the annual examination of Class-XI. However as per the guidelines one has to score 95% attendance in class to sit for the final examination. Besides, the school authorities informed that if the four students would have scored at least 60% than they would have been allowed to sit for the examination. On the other the guardians of those four restricted students informed that earlier the school authority has not brought the matter to the acknowledgment of the students as well as the guardians, therefore on their sudden drive during the examination the four students were not allowed to sit for the examination resulting them to loss one year in their school carrier, the guardians expressed displeasure.
Besides, one of the school authority informed that as per the guidelines of the Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE) the students were not allowed to sit for the examination whereas one has to score 95% attendance in the class according to the guideline. He also informed that the system does not prevails in Class-X.
