Nomination paper submission begins, begi | AGARTALA, Oct 27 (TIWN): After the declaration of candidates name for Barjala Constituency, now the political parties have started to submit nomination papers for the bi-poll which is to be held on Nov 19. The beginning of nomination paper submission has kicked off by Tripura’s ruling party CPI-M. However, demands for public votes are high among the political parties and flow of ‘Promises’ has no end from each of candidates, doesn’t matter how much they will be able to fulfill those demands, once the election is done. This is the same area, where multiple protests were held demanding quick renovation of roadways especially the highway which goes towards Agartala Airport. Public placed deputation to the Chief Engineer of Tripura, following many road blockades throughout the year. Central Govt to present Union budget one | NEW DELHI / AGARTALA, Oct 27 (TIWN): Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the Union Budget will be presented about a month in advance to ensure speedier implementation of the projects and asked the states to align their plans accordingly.Modi made the announcement at the 16th interaction of PRAGATI (Pro-Active Governance and Timely Implementation), which he chaired. The platform is aimed at addressing common man's grievances, and simultaneously monitoring and reviewing important programmes and projects of the Central as well as state governments. "The Prime Minister mentioned that the Union Budget presentation is being advanced by about a month to ensure speedier implementation of projects and schemes. Sources said that out of TMC and BJP’s fear the Labour Commission of Tripura has decided to compensate the family members of two youths who died mercilessly falling into a manhole at Indrangar area September 27th at Agartala. Following the miserable deaths of Subham Nama (18) & Mangal Das (26) both BJP, TMC condemned against the incident. BJP unearthed that within 15 days of Sep month at least 4 people were killed in underground deep-wells due to poisonous gases. Labourers are never provided with oxygen masks and violating all rules of labour-safety they are sent to work in empty hands. Two weeks back, 2 workers died at Dharmanagar due to poisonous gases while working in a deep-well. Agartala City becoming Crime zone : Lack | AGARTALA, Oct 26 (TIWN): The crime rate in Tripura has been drastically increased which is not leaving the police officials also. Holding a press meet at West Police Station, West Tripura SP Abhishek Saptarshi said the increasing intoxicated youths in society has brutally killed a police personnel, which would not be tolerated. On Monday late night few lunatic ,addicted youths not only hit a police personnel but the impact was so strong that the Havildar was dragged for 15 meters by the offending vehicle. Victim Policeman was immediately shifted to GBP Hospital but succumbed to his injuries. Based on preliminary investigation it is seen that this is not case of an accident.
