KAMALPUR, Oct 24 (TIWN): The saga of deprivation has become the fate of Kamalpur. And the fortune-maker political leaders of Kamalpur remain in their happy ground with no tension.

The sub-division of Kamalpur not only remains deprived of administrative facilities and services but some basic requirements also remain absent even in the sector of health services. Post mortem and collection of viscera for forensic tests become very common in the present world of business and hurly-burly.

But for more than one decade BSM Hospital seriously lacks the basic chemicals for post mortem and collection of viscera. Moreover, the staffs deployed for this work also suffer hazards and medical threats.

According to the information, during post mortem, recovery of decomposed corpses and collection of viscera from the corpse ether and eucalyptus oil are must.

Both the chemicals are unavailable at BSM Hospital for more than last one decade. Instead, the staffs use phenyl, bleaching powder or tar oil. But these chemicals could easily distort the condition of the corpse and its physical and chemical situation. And in long run, the results of the tests may vary.

The chemicals are available at the central store of the health department at Agartala in huge quantity. But mysteriously, the hospital authority not finds it essential to collect these from there.

They have the excuse of not having the chemicals in the office of the CMO. Hence, the staffs have to work with high risk of life and the results not remain dependable enough.
