AGARTALA, Oct 25 (TIWN): SDM Sadar held meeting with the members of all parties ahead of Bi-election on Tuesday.

“I am directed refer to letter No.23/2011-ERS dated 14th November,2o11 of Election Commission of India(copy enclosed) and to inform you that, all the applicants who are eligible as on 01.01.2016 and subsiquently applied for inclusions  in the Electoral Roll under revision i.e 01.01.2017 as qualifying date,their application shall be treated as filled under section 23(1) of RP Act,1950and those accepted applications shall figure in an additional supplement of the Electoral Roll where bi-election is going to be held”, it was issued by D Modok, Chief Electoral Officer.

It was also written, “In view of the above ,therefore requested to complete the disposal of all the claims and objections received during SSR-2017 FOR 4-Barjala(SC)  and 25 Khowai Assembly constituencies and to update the Roll databases by 26th October,2016 invariably. This is your information and urgent neccessary action please”.

The bi-election and TTADC Election to be held on November 19.

Presently all parties BJP, Congress, Trinamool, CPI-M are busy with election campaigning in those particular areas.

SDM asked all the party leaders to follow the law and order during polls.
