School teachers will be at stake once again as the hearing into the termination of 10323 illegally recruited Govt. teachers will once again take place in the Supreme Court of India on Monday, the 27th July next. The State Govt. earlier on record had assured the 10323 Govt. school teachers to make them permanent after completion of five years in the job, but the sources in the state Finance Dept and the education directorate has confirmed that the departments have not done the required formalities to make them permanent so far. The analysts are of the believe that the assurance given by the ministers was just an attempt to pose as the well wisher of the about to be terminated teachers knowing it well that the recruitments may not be defended in the court and the Supreme Court too may keep the judgment of the Tripura High Court intact. Sources in the CPI-M Melarmath office says that the party is worried with the depleting support base in the state, and cancellation of the 10323 jobs of Govt. teachers may further worsen the position of the CPI-M in the state. Judicial employees seek better pay, impl | AGARTALA, July 25 (TIWN):The judicial department employees have reiterated their demand for implementation of the Sixth Pay Commission recommendations and bring pay parity with the Union Government employees. The Shetty Commission recommended pay structure as per sixth pay commission, even the Supreme Court in a judgment directed the implementation of commission recommendation.The judicial employee knocked the door High Court of Tripura for implementation of Supreme Court directive. On March 26 last, high court directed the concerned department employee to issue notification regarding sixth pay commission. But no notification was issued by the government. On this the employees tired to draw the attention of the concerned department on the issue. They gave a reminder to secretary, finance department on July 23 giving seven days time. If the finance sectary fails to issue notification, then they will appeal at high court citing defamation of Supreme Court order. On July 16, the apex court ordered that judicial employee should get pay structure of sixth pay commission from January 1, 2006. State government failed to implement the order, this caused serious resentment among one thousand employees in the lower court. Tripura govt. needs law secretary servic | AGARTALA, July 24 (TIWN): Just after Tripura High Court has posted state law secretary Datamohan Jamatia at Unakoti District as a District and Session Judge, the state government has been eyeing forward to get the law secretary service soon in view of the 10, 323 teachers’ case which is currently under the clasp of Supreme Court. However, Jamatia is scheduled to join on August 3 as posted by the HC. A contempt of court case against Jamatia was pending in the Supreme Court. Law Secretary who is scheduled to join Unakoti district and session court as a judge on August 3, was looking after various pending cases in the Supreme Court including the dismissal of 10,323 government teachers by an order on May 7 last year and upcoming elections to local bodies. Besides, according to the reliable official source the state government had stressed over the appointment of Unakoti District Session Judge Gautam Debnath as officer on special duty (OSD) in the high court, but interestingly at present Tripura HC has no existing post of OSD and has to be created by the state government to contain financial and other complications. She was arrested last week , and spent a few days in hospital with problems caused by a nagging female disease and was sent to fourteen days jail custody on Wednesday. Ambalika is directly involved in the Rs 4.5 crore RAMSA scam for which cashier of the department Arnab Chakraborty has been in jail since September last year after being arrested from Calcutta. Police sources investigating the case said that they have traced evidence of Ambalika having signed and withdrawn an amount of Rs 6.40 lakhs. Besides, certain issued would be taken up in the discussion on July 27related to the project work. The mode of actions being taken by the Bangladesh would also be reviewed in the meeting, he said. He further informed that the BSNL is eyeing forward to complete the work of laying the optical fibre in Agartala till the Akhaura Check Post by the next 10 days. Tripura to create 1.12 lakh employable w | AGARTALA, July 24 (TIWN): Tripura Left front government in a bid to develop the skill development training programme and supporting PM Modi’s Skill India Mission is all set to open a separate Directorate to feather the skill development training in Agartala. The state government as part of the programme aims to generate a total of 1.12 lakh employable work forces in the auto mobile sector by 2022, said officials of IT department.Being a pioneer in skill development training the land-locked state also aims to create 0.21 lakh employable work force in rubber sector, 1.62 lakh in construction, 0.09 lakh in electronic, 0.08 lakh in food processing, 0.01 lakh in finance market and 0.09 lakh in the health sector by 2022.The official said that the new directorate will start functioning from August 1. Broadly, the skill development program will include at least 33 per cent female aspirants. As part of the programme the Tripura government had taken up certain initiatives under the skill development training programme to meet the cry of youths especially the youths of the rural areas.The skill development mission, Tripura would be headed by Chief Minister Manik Sarkar whereas a new committee would be constituted which would be headed by Chief Secretary Y P Singh.†The committee will comprise of 12 departments, he said.Skill development programmes in the north-east helps the youngsters to earn a decent livelihood and prevent them from taking up any unlawful activity.
