AGARTALA, July 26 (TIWN): With the polytechnics, Engineering and IT institutions believed to an important source for the country the Tripura Left front government looks set to develop its Information Technology (IT) sector by building up as many as IT institutions towards polishing the youth power by a quality training under the Skill Development Mission.
Saying seven more IT institution are in the pipeline Chief Minister Manik Sarkar assured that no sub divisions of the state would be left without IT institutions. He said the country needs to skill at least 40 crore people by 2020 to contain the unemployment problem which has stand tall across the nation currently.
Praising the central government Sarkar said that the government had come up with certain initiatives towards developing the nation and to bring as many as people under the coverage of Skill Development Mission. Adding Sarkar said, “The Left front government has been working to contain the unemployment problem in state and along with to bring a development in the industry and agriculture sectors.”
Sarkar was addressing the inauguration programme of new ITI building at North Tripura District.
Education Minister Tapan Chakroborty addressing the programme said that the state government had also taken certain initiatives towards bringing the youths under skill development training despite education in the rural areas of the state.
He said the number of dropout students in Madhyamik and Higher Secondary decreased as compared to previous years.
