In a hearing, Chief Justice Akil Kureshi stayed the investigation up to Durga puja. 2 days back, TMC leader Kunal Ghosh fell sick during interrogation by Agartala Police in connection with the Khowai case. The case was lodged against TMC leaders including MP Abhishek Banerjee, MP Dola Sen, Bengal Minister Bratya Basu and State Tripura leaders. The leaders visited Khowai PS after the party injured workers were arrested by police there without any proper ground. Although the TMC workers were injured in BJP's attack, police did not arrest BJP workers and arrested the victims. Centering this the TMC leaders visited the police station and the police alleged that TMC leaders misbehaved with police and lodged a suo moto case. SSA Teachers alleged ‘misinterpretatio | AGARTALA, Sep 22 (TIWN): Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) teachers have claimed that Tripura Govt has misinterpreted the High Court's verdict on SSA's regularization. Calling a press conference at Agartala Press Club, the SSA teachers said that they do not agree with the decision taken by Tripura Govt which is a deprivation to the teachers. Talking to the media, SSA teacher Bastab Debbarma said, "We can't not accept the decision. We will file a Condemn of Court petition in this regard. We will fight legally and also through democratic movement. But, one thing I want to say here is that we never expected such a decision from this Govt". Referring to Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath's claim of a regular pay scale to be given to all teachers, Bastab Debbarma said that such claims of the Minister have no connection with the reality. Man jailed for 3 years for murdering wif | DHAMANAGAR, Sep 22 (TIWN): On 21.09.2021, the Ld. Special Judge, North Tripura, Dharmanagar has convicted one accused namely Md Matachin Ali (35) S/o. Lt. Kanai Miah of Purba Fulbari, PS-Churaibari , North Tripura and sentenced him to suffer R.I for 03 (Three) Years for the commission of the offence punishable U/S 498 (A) IPC and also liable to pay a fine of Rs 10,000/-& ID of payment such fine, to suffer R.I for further period of 06 (Six) month & the convict is also sentenced to suffer R.I for life for the commission of offence punishable U/s 302 IPC and to pay a fine of Rs. 10,000/- for the said offence & ID of Payment of such fine to undergo RI for further period of 06 (six) month both the sentences shall run concurrently. Only 45 SSA Teachers who are TET Qualifi | AGARTALA, Sep 21 (TIWN): Confusion which was created during the last 6 months of Tripura High Court's verdict on SSA's regularization, Tripura Cabinet finally has taken the decision to implement the order, utilizing fully the High Court given rights to the State Govt to frame rules while regularizing. But overall, the Cabinet could not give good news for the majority of the SSA teachers who were expecting regularization of all teachers. Education cum Law Minister Ratan Lal Nath has briefed that the complex situation erupted due to 3 important points given by Tripura High Court (in Para 49, 53, 54) which was followed while regularizing. As per the Minister's statement, it was understood that TET qualified SSA teachers who are 45 in numbers will be regularized from the date of 23/02/2021 (day of High Court's verdict), 54 teachers who are only Madhyamik or 12 passed without any professional qualification will have to undergo NIOS run necessary courses and rest of the teachers will get regular scale and 3% increment per year. | 21-Sep-2021 |
