AGARTALA, Sep 23 (TIWN): After a man died allegedly due to poor services of Health Staff by keepong patient for 10-15 mins inside Ambulance after reaching IGM hospital, chaos erupted in the IGM hospital.
A 65 years old man named Ranjit Majumdar of Belonia College square area was taken to Belonia Hospital due to physical illness. After being taken to the Belonia Sub-divisional Hospital the patient, Ranjit Majumdar was tested Covid positive and then was referred to GBP Hospital for better treatment but on the way to Agartala the patient suddenly became more sick. The patient’s family requested the Ambulance driver to take him to nearby Hospital immediately but the driver did not listen to them. Later the patient was taken to the IGM hospital where the on-duty Doctors declared him dead.
Family raised complaints that if the patient was taken to the nearby hospital then the sick patient could be saved.
Oppositely a Junior Doctor who was there inside the Ambulance said that the Patient was Covid Positive and that was the reason behind not taking the serious patient to others Hospital as only in GBP has Covid care centre is recommended for Covid patients. The Junior Doctor alleged that the Patient party harassed the Doctor also.
