AGARTALA, Sep 23 (TIWN): Common men have blocked National Highway at Amtali after a bike and a truck in high speed had met with an accident.
Getting information, police rushed to the spot and after talking to the agitated public, the blockade was withdrawn.
The car driver was caught by the public. Although the public alleged that the driver was drunk, he denied the charge.
Police are investigating the matter. Locals blamed traffic police's negligence behind increasing accidents and also blamed police for not taking necessary action against the traffic law violators.
Man hit by TSR vehicle: Angry mob blocked National highway
AGARTALA, SEP 23 (TIWN): On a shocking note, a man was in a critical condition after he was hit by a gypsy vehicle of TSR forces in Amtali market area. The incident occurred on Thursday afternoon.
Reportedly, on Thursday, a TSR gypsy car hit a man near Amtali market area. immediately the locals took him to hospital in a critical condition. The locals alleged that the driver of the vehicle was in a drunk condition which resulted in this accident.
This incident erupted resentment among the local people. The angry mob blocked the national highway.The accused driver was mobbed by the locals and was handed over to Amtali police.
