AGARTALA, Sep 22 (TIWN): Even though Supreme Court framed strict guidelines while imposing Section 144 but Tripura Govt shockingly without any proper ground has imposed Section 144. Reacting over the incident Senior Advocate and Human Right activists Purushottam Roy Barman said that the State Government does not want any kind of Political rally, protest movement against it and that's why it has impsoed Section 144. He said, “In democratic manner all the Political parties have the right to protest, to organise rallies, meetings and gatherings and there must be ill- purpose behind imposing such laws. Imposing such laws in present situation is illogical as no such situation is reeling to impose Section-144 in Agartala city. DM imposed Section 144 under Political pressure". .

Slamming such action of State Government, the Senior Advocate said that Govt imposed section 144 showing excuse of recent violence but no one has been arrested yet who organized the violence.

Barman strongly condemned the role of Police administration and Government amid such attacks on Newspaper’s offices and how so far no one yet arrested.
