AGARTALA, Sep 23 (TIWN): Tripura TET Association teachers have announced protest movements from tomorrow in Agartala in front of the IS office (Inspector of School Office). Addressing a press meet, TET Teachers Association members told the media that Indian Constitution, Article 21 ensures "Equal Pay for Equal Works" and thus to get their rights after long deprivation from 2017, now the TET teachers will go in protest. "We could not fight for our rights in the last 2 years because of Covid-pandemic situation but we have to raise our voice for that. Now, it will be a continuous protest. Tomorrow we will have our protest in front of the IS Office and our next movement will be announced soon. Now, Tripura Govt has announced regular pay scales for the Mdhyamik passed teachers also. We welcome that because equal pay for equal work is everyone's right but after holding our B.Ed exam, TET exams and passing one by one tough examination, why can't we get full benefit ?", asked the TET Teachers.

It can be mentioned here that BJP before 2018 poll had promised the fixed pay employees to make them regular and also promised the unemployed youths that Tripura Govt will remove the fixed pay system under the :Left Front Govt but in last 3.7 years years of Governance, the same fixed pay system is going on which has erupted resentment among the TET teachers as well as fixed paid employees also.
