AGARTALA, Sep 22 (TIWN): Amra Bangali party has asked Tripura BJP led State Govt to withdraw Section 144 immediately.
The party said that it is a politically motivated move of the Govt to silence the opposition voice.
"There is no such situation which can justify the Section 144's implementation in Tripura. The political violence was generated by the ruling party only. We respect the Court but we do not support such undemocratic moves which violate the human rights and citizens right to protest", added Amra Bangali party.
The statement came after the District Magistrate of West Tripura had imposed Section 144 in the Sadar areas banning all political rallies, programmes in the area up to November 4.
