Dry | AGARTALA, Dec 20 (TIWN): Finally, Tripura’s Capital City has hanged with ‘No-Petrol’ sign across its petrol pumps, even though the Food Dept. informed massive fuel importing via Dharmanagar-Agartala road. On Tuesday, each and every petrol pumps in Agartala went dry since the morning whereas many bikes left handicapped due to ‘no fuel’ inside them. Till, Monday after 1000 people’s long rows atleast the bikers could pour their tanks with petrol, but on Tuesday, that chance also withdrawn as the petrol dealers simply hanged ‘No-Petrol’ signs before their pumps. Just on Sunday as per Food Dept’s information to diminish the ongoing petrol crisis 332 KL petrol arrived at Agartala. Apart from petrol 780 KL Diesel also has arrived here. Demonetisation : Cashlessness sting stil | AGARTALA, Dec 20 (TIWN): There was no respite in sight for cash-strapped people on Tuesday as queues outside banks and ATMs for withdrawing money continued across the city with rising anger and pain. Here in Tripura, the lack of 500 rupees notes have turned the situation more critical. Not a single ATM is providing 500 rupees notes, resulting much cash-shortage while exchanging notes. However, people finding no other option chose to stand in bank lines, whereas there are huge crowd all the time occupy the counters.The situation is worse in SBI and Gramin Banks, where maximum number of people are found standing. 10 days of Petrol Crisis : Around 5000 h | AGARTALA, Dec 17 (TIWN): Screaming over demonetization is on peak at Tripura Assembly, but at the same the Chief Minister as well as the Finance Minister are silent over the traditional petrol crisis of the tiny state. TIWN reported, after long hours of waiting the Durga Bari BOC’s ‘No Petrol’ sign was withdrawn but huge rush of people crossing 1000 people before each of the petrol pumps of Agartala were observed. Tripura Food Dept. informed that in state there are sufficient petrol storage. TIWN further reported that across Agartala City atleast 5000 people are standing before Agartala Petrol pumps. Radhanagar, Durgabari Chowmuhani, Ganaraj Chowmuhani’s BOCs’ have been overcrowded for whole day. Reportedly, due to the chaos going at Manipur and Nagaland the problem has increased here more.
