KAMALPUR, Dec 18 (TIWN): “In the winter session, the Assembly mourned for Fidel Custro and the rail-accident deceased. But not a single MLA uttered a single word in memory of two brave sons of the state martyr Shambhu Satmura and Chittaranjan Debbarma. It was only when media criticized the decision, then Assembly mourned for our brave sons on the second day. Then the so-called opposition brought a motion against the Modi’s demonitization. Only Ratan Lal Nath opposed it sternly. In fact, Ratan lal Nath remained to be the only MLA who spends time in reading and calculating for the greater interest of the people of the state.” spoke BJP State President Biplab Deb in an election rally, here at Durgachowmuhani market at Kamalpur.

In the speech of Chief Orator Biplab further added that, “The unrestrained 24 years’ rule of Manik Sarkar led leftist government turned the state towards distress and plight. And as Manikbabu has to answer questions of public interests and has to think for the benefit of common people, then he continues to curtail the length of the sessions after sessions. The only remedy to this situation lies in change of power which would happen in 2018. BJP would then bring in lots of happiness and glory for the state.”

In the meet 207 voters from 61 families of Congress, CPI-M, and TMC joined the saffron party. In the meet, BJP State leaders Tapas Majumder, Pratima Bhowmik and others delivered speech.

It might be mentioned here that, the rally was set for campaigning in favour of party candidates for ensuing bye-election of a seat of Durgachowmuhani Panchayat Samiti and a seat of Debichara Panchayat to be held on 21st December next. However, the naked factionalism of the party became evident.

Though the Mandal President of Kamalpur was present in the meet, he was not even called onto the stage while the Mandal President of Ambassa was honoured with the opportunity of delivering speech. Moreover, the Mandal President of local Surma mandal, where the meet was held, was also not seen in the meet.
