AGARTALA, Dec 18 (TIWN): Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar in a Grammin Bank programme held at Agartala on the occasion of 41th Foundation Day of the bank said, "a cashless society is never possible in India. In top most economist countries like America, which is considered for achieving the highest economic growth, there also 44 to 47 % transactions are based on Cashes, whereas in China it’s 30-35 % and in India 90 %”. However, on that occasion the N P Topno RBI I/C Tripura, Upendra Sabar, Grammin Bank General Manager were also present when CM gave the bogus data. Whereas he brought China’s name ahead of America in cash-less transaction, in the actual data China’s name is not even there in the top 10 list. America’s cashless transactions are above 80 %, the world economic data says. “The decision taken by Modi Govt. with the advise of NITI Aayog is fully unrealistic. I’m not opposing the demonetization step, but it was done without proper planning”, Sarkar said.

“The issue from black money has turned into cashless-society, as the Govt has failed to curb the black money. Not only this govt, but the earlier Govt also whose Prime Minister himself was a great economist had failed to solve the problem.....”, Sarkar said. “Communists economic policy is not like them, but unfortunately, nobody followed our policy”, he added.

“India has only 5 % black money,which would not be more than 1 lakh crore. So why much pain for this 1 lakh  crore? Prime Minister sought 50 days, Finance Minister sought 6 months… and now you are moving for ‘cashless’..? but where is black money?”, Sarkar said.

As per RBI record a week back, 84 % was deposited but what about circulation of the deposited money?  Banks are actually the den for corruption and via banks all the corruptions are happening.

“Why Prime Minister has not come in the Parliament ? Is he coward ? He is not coming in the parliament, but giving lectures at other places, at abroad... but what you say in outside its not at all important...  all were ready to discuss with you in the parliament, but you escaped”, said Sarkar.

He later told the RBI I/C of Tripura N P Topno, whereas PM and Finance Minister set a deadline why RBI Chief didn’t mention any time limitation for this black-money mission? Because bankers are clevers, so they will remain silent….people of Tripura are not happy with the attitude of the RBI”.

However the Communist Chief Ministers speech with full of bogus data has raised much anger among 90 % bankers present there and also laughter to some extent.
