AGARTALA, Dec 19 (TIWN): The last day of Assembly ended in full of chaos regarding Minister Naresh Jamatia’s womanizing-scandal issue. After a long gap, due to family issues, opposition MLA Sudip Barman arrived in Assembly on the last day, but situation fully got out of control when Sudip Barman seized the sword of truth of the Assembly speaker Ramendra Ch. Debnath. However, after much hurdles, when the whole assembly ran after Barman the sword was recovered anyhow. Reportedly such an incident earlier happened in 1994, when the then MLA Mati lal Saha did the same thing which Sudip Barman did on Monday. Opposition Ratan Lal Nath, Sudip Barman told the Assembly, “Even though Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (ADC) member Joykishore Jamatia clearly mentioned Naresh Jamatia’s name as the top of womanizing chain, but on behalf of CPI-M no action had been taken so far".

"Although just for name-sake Joykishore was suspended from the party but no action was taken against the Minister Naresh Jamatia. What is the reason behind this? Is there any law and order exist in the state at all?”, asked Barman.

However, in reply Naresh Jamatia said, “I have filed case at HC, and I know I have no flaw, so doesn’t arise for my resignation and the rest will be see by the court”.

The further asked, “In a week Joykishore Jamatia, Naresh Jamatia and an RSP Councilor Mrinmoy Sen’s name had come in this list and but 6 years girl who was molested by Mrinmoy Sen’s due to police loose charge sheet, he immediately got bail--- what is the reason behind it?, said Barman.

It’s worthy to mention here that an earthquake like situation arrived in CPI-M Melarmath party office, when Joykishore took NareshJamatia’s name as behind this womanizing scandal-----which led the Ministers as Badal Choudhury, Ratan Bhowmik, MLA Madhabh Saha, MLA Parimal Debnath, MLA Priyamoni Debbarma and other political leaders to conduct a meeting at Gomati Jilla and at the end of the meeting receiving proper reaction-report of the people Madhabh Saha announced, “Joykishore is a closed chapter for CPI-M”.

But question remains why always the party ends by suspending a person, leaving no chance for investigation or lodge any police case. Same was done with  Amarpur MLA, when CPI-M state committee expelled its heavy weight leader cum MLA Manoranjan Acharjee for being accused of moral degradation. Also CPI-M state committee forced MLA Manoranjan Acharjee to resign from Assembly seat from immediate effect.

In case of Joykishore Jamtaia the ruling CPI-M in Tripura suspended sitting executive member of Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (ADC) and senior party member Joy Kishore Jamatia for moral turpitude. The party has also directed him to resign from the council. No formal police complaint has been lodged against Jamatia so far.

Moreover, when media claimed that Naresh Jamatia has links with this scandal, now the party is worried about his image preserving and sources said that CPI-M is also internally investigating public’s reaction about Naresh Jamatia ahead of Assembly Election which will decide the next position given to him by the party.
