Manik’s Delhi dream ends : Kejriw | NEW DELHI / AGARTALA, Oct 1 (TIWN): Tripura CM Manik Sarkar was sidelined by Mamata to such extent that Kejriwal didn't keep any provision of one extra chair in dais for Manik Sarkar to sit, so hapless Tripura CM was forced to find his place among audience.Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar was also a part of the deliberations on cooperative federalism, but was not allowed (Mamata’s instance) to participate in the public address handled by Kejriwal and Banerjee. Even though Kejriwal invited more than 12 Chief Ministers, only Manik Sarkar traveled to Delhi to attend conclave as Mamata Banerjee was already in Delhi for other works unrelated to conclave. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his West Bengal counterpart Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday came together to slam central interference in state affairs while acting against the spirit of cooperative federalism. Speaking here while participating in the "Chief Ministers' conclave on cooperative federalism", both leaders also hit hard at the issue of non-democratic use of central agencies like the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the National Investigation Agency (NIA)."NIA was sent to West Bengal when two died in a blast during last (Durga) Puja season. State police took action. A few days ago, 100 died in a blast in Madhya Pradesh (Jhabua). If two die in Bengal, you (Centre) send NIA, as if we are all terrorists in the state but if 100 die in Madhya Pradesh, you gloss over it. This is discrimination," said Banerjee. Kejriwal concurred with the West Bengal chief minister over the misuse of central agencies to browbeat state governments. | 30-Sep-2015 |

However, on the other side AAP’s former Minister & MLA Somnath Bharti has been arrested on Tuesday for allegedl involvement in attempt to murde, domestic violence which once again spoiled reputation of Kejriwal after Law Minister Jitendar Singh Tomar’s fake degree scam. AAP MLA Somnath Bharti has been arrested under various sections of the IPC including 307 (attempt to murder), 420 (cheating and dishonesty), 406 (punishment for criminal breach of trust), 417 (punishment for cheating), 313 (causing miscarriage without woman's consent), 324 (voluntarily causing hurt), 498a (husband of a woman subjecting her to cruelty), 506 (punishment for criminal intimidatio). An Official added that some other Chief Ministers did not show up. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar avoided conclave and sent a recorded message on the issue as he is busy in the preparations for the assembly elections in his state, the official said. The Delhi government had sent invitation to all chief ministers to discuss the centre-state relationship but only few chief ministers of non-Bharatiya Janata Party and non-Congress-ruled states were supposed to attend today's conclave but in reality it turned as a flop show as only fool Tripura CM flown from Agartala to attend conclave. Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee was already in Delhi for some other work so she showed up briefly as a token gesture. Recent arrests of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's two high profile Ministers : Jitender Singh Tomar for running fake degree racket, Somnath Bharti for violence against his wife severely has tarnished Kejriwal's credibility and positioned Delhi CM as a joker who had picked up all types of thugs to run his administration.
