AGARTALA, September 29 (TIWN): Speaking in a review meeting recently at North Tripura DM Office, Public Works Minister Badal Choudhury urged the PWD Officers to set their keen eyes to renovate the roads for smooth convenience before Durga Puja.
Minister Badal Choudhury further instructed to renovate the road from Dharmanagar to Kadamtala via Churraibari road and another road from Dharmanagar to Kanchanpur via Jalebasa road.
At present, the road across the State has narrowed due to barricades and Potholes and craters add to the problems. Besides, in the capital the public has been facing inconvenience due to the construction material spreads all over.
Various parts of the State has been facing problem and even poses tremendous dangers to pedestrians as well as for the vehicle drivers die to the potholes and stones scattered all around.
Besides, Minister Choudhury also urged the officers of the construction agency to renovate the roads of the Dharmanagar Municipal Council and Panisagar Panchayat and the other village area of the District.
However, with the renovation of the roads the rate of accidents due to the deplorable condition of the roads will decline and it is expected that the traffic jam will also decrease and will bring relief to the daily passengers.
Besides, the drivers of the Auto Rickshaw and other passenger vehicles who were not carrying passengers of the area where the roads are in deplorable condition with a fear that their vehicles would get damage, after renovation it is expected that these drivers would start carrying passenger which would bring relief from prolonged wait for vehicles.
The bad condition of the road is strewed with several ditches on the road resulting jerk to the passengers as well as the owner of the vehicles. Besides, the risks of toppling four wheelers in these ditches always run high.
