Agartala, Oct 17 (TIWN): Anger is prevailed among the job aspirants for the post of Tutors (14 posts) and Registrars (27 posts) in Agartala government Medical College (AGMC) as the walk-in interview process was concluded in an inapt manner which was conducted on Thursday. According to the candidates, they are being deprived to be recruited as Tutors and Registrars in different departments of AGMC in the walking interview conducted on 16th Oct.
The hopeful candidates have also alleged that chances of fair selection are slim because of undue influences. It is highly surprising and objectionable by the aspirants that no subject experts of concerned departments who are recruiting basic teachers were actually part of the interview board. Generally HODs or senior faculties of concerned departments are part of the interview board during recruitment process of Tutors and SRs in the Medical Colleges everywhere in India.
The candidates alleged that shameless display of nepotism, biasness and corruptions are happening everywhere in Tripura under the patronage of the ruling party these days. But most of the so called intellectuals of our state would rather turn away by closing their eyes from such things and continue to chant the mantra of ‘Golden era’.
A section of hopeful candidates have alleged that a doctor who was earlier the Deputy M.S of AGMC and recently promoted as the Joint Director in the Medical Education Dept (again inspite of not holding a MD/MS degree or any experience as a medical faculty till date) was also present during the whole interview process and tried to make the selection process inequitable though officially he was not a part of the interview board!
However here it has not been followed. The Medical Advisor who thinks himself as a specialist of all medical subjects inspite of the fact that he doesn't hold even a MD/MS degree and is basically having a PHD of Biochemistry, is allegedly trying to select all candidates by himself.
Though DME and Principal (in charge) of AGMC were the part of the interview board, it was alleged by some candidates that they had been acted as mute spectators during the whole process under the pressure.
According to the candidates, the interviewer may have overlooked the proper reservation policy as happened earlier during the selection of various posts in AGMC. Corruption is getting limitless these days by a few Melarmath favoured Comrades in Tripura and it seems AGMC is also no exception, they added.
