Cultural functions to be organized at Udaipur Mata Bari during Diwali

Agartala, October 16 (TIWN): Various Cultural functions are going to be organized at Udaipur Matabari on the occasion of Diwali Festival. A total of 134 members are selected to make this festival a grand one. MLA Madhab Saha was selected as Chairman where as Sub-Divisional Magistrate Ajit Debnath was selected as Secretary.

The Diwali festival was scheduled on 23rd and 24th October. Recently a meeting was held in the Information and Cultural Affairs Department of Udaipur. The meeting was headed by Cultural Advisory Commitee’s Secretary Subrata Deb.Thecommitee decided that a cultural function should be organized. For this various artists from outside will outskirts their talents. Besides these local artists will perform Hojagiri dance, Momita Dance, Folk dance, Gajan Dance, theathre etc.The committee appeals to all for the success of the festival.

On the other hand, to represent the culture and historical heritage of our country India, Tripura Sundari Dance and Music Festival will be organized at Tripura Sundari Temple premises, Udaipur on 20tand 21st October 2014. Although these type of programmes are observed in the various states of our country India, its first time in our state Tripura. The progamme will start on 20th October and it will be continued up to 21st October. The programme will start at evening 5 PM and will be continued till night10PM on both the days.

At the day of inauguration,Pandit Shreekumar Chattoapadhya (Eminent Singer of Shyama Sangeet, Kolkata), Dr, Rabindra Bharali (Vocal Singer of Tripura), Boby Chakraborty (An eminent Kuchipuri Dancer of Tripura), Anita Sharma (An artist of Sattriyaof Assam) and Ruparani Das Borah (Dancer of Kathak of Assam) will be performing in the programme and also arethe main attraction of the programme. On 21st October, the second day of the programme, Tripti Wate (Singer of Vocal Song of Tripura), Arunabha and Abhijit Sharma (Artist of Sarod and Sitar of Tripura), Abhinaya Nagajythy (An eminent Kuchipuri Dancer of Delhi), Manuj Elangbam (An artist of Manipuri of Manipur), Debaldev Jana (An artist of Bharatnatyam of Kolkata respectively.
