Prices Skyrocketed amid Lockdown on Naba | AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, April 14 (TIWN): Ami lockdown, skyrocketing prices were reported from Agartala and other subdivisions’ markets with a crisis of items are alleged by sellers like Hilsha fish. The small size Hilsa was although available at Rs. 1200 to Rs. 1500 but the big size fish touched Rs. 1800 and in some places at Rs. 2000. Same, in Agartala mutton prices reached at Rs. 2000 per kilo and all fish items at least were touching Rs. 800 to Rs. 1000 except common few local fishes. Long rows were observed in front of sweet shops as this is one of the biggest festivals for Bengalis, never celebrated without sweets. PM Modi extends Lockdown till 3rd May : | AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, April 14 (TIWN): Prime Minister Modi on Tuesday morning in his address to nation has extended lockdown till 3rd May, 2020.The total guidelines will be announced tomorrow with packages for the poor which is under functional already. During the address, Prime Minister Modi has signaled that Centre may monitor the lockdown situations and if any loopholes is found, action to be taken, ensuring no gathering will be allowed in any place and also if virus spread due to loopholes it will lead to further action. The Prime Minister further announced that no employee should be terminated in lockdown period and any type of that activity will not be pardoned. The Lockdown Extension guidelines will be released tomorrow with financial decisions.
