AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, April 13 (TIWN): Keeping the harvesting season ongoing, Govt of Tripura led by Chief Minister Biplab Deb has geared up to save economy by saving agriculture. Tripura Law Minister Ratanlal Nath in a separate press conference said that social distances can be maintained in Agricultural works.
“I am a son of farmer’s family. So, I know this well that agriculture can be done by maintaining social distances”, said Ratanlal Nath.
Amid its minimum economic capacity, Govt of Tripura will follow Centre’s guideline in Lockdown but 50% growth to be targeted.
Govt of Tripura will start 50% industrial production if lockdown is extended, said Health Secretary Debasish Basu to media on Saturday.
“Most likely lockdown to be extended as many Chief Ministers have demanded the same. Prime Minister also has taken suggestion positively. Although, nothing is officially announced, but most likely lockdown will extend”, Basu told media.
“This is the harvesting season and our economy depends on agriculture and essential commodities a lot. In this situation, Govt is preparing for what to do”, he said.
The Health Secretary further stated that Govt is eyeing to open 50% production in Bodhjungnagar industrial sector. If there are 100 workers and 50 are from other states, most likely 50% production can be started.
