AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, April 14 (TIWN): Prime Minister Modi on Tuesday morning in his address to nation has extended lockdown till 3rd May, 2020.The total guidelines will be announced tomorrow with packages for the poor which is under functional already. During the address, Prime Minister Modi has signaled that Centre may monitor the lockdown situations and if any loopholes is found, action to be taken, ensuring no gathering will be allowed in any place and also if virus spread due to loopholes it will lead to further action. The Prime Minister further announced that no employee should be terminated in lockdown period and any type of that activity will not be pardoned. The Lockdown Extension guidelines will be released tomorrow with financial decisions. All the states have been brought under the lockdown period without compromise till 3rd May, 2020. “If we look at it from an economic angle, it (lockdown) might look an expensive decision", Modi said.
"We have paid a heavy price for it but the lives of Indians can never be valued. The path we have followed is being discussed internationally. Governments in various states, health departments in states have worked with a lot of responsibility”, Modi said.
The total Lockdown Period has been expanded for 19 days.
