AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, April 13 (TIWN): Bold initiatives of Tripura Police finally brought the crowd in control since Monday morning, opening an Access control entrance for maximum 10 people. Like many other big cities now social distances of buyers by maintaining 1 metre distance have become mandatory in Tripura too. The row-system itself has a psychological effect as public do not throng to markets with unnecessary demands in long rows fears, tested successfully here too. Recently, TIWN published news based on irresponsible people rushing to markets day-night breaking laws of lockdown when 2 persons were tested COVID19 positive in the state. Now, police’s initiatives to control gathering has been praised by shop-keepers and also common men are cooperating with police. This move was necessitated as much the lockdown rules will be broken, more chances of disease's spread becomes evident.

TIWN on Monday surveyed the situations in Battala, Gol Bazar markets where buyers are standing in big-rows with 1 metre distances, can be taken as a model for the whole state.

When a section of people are breaking laws, another section continues strive to keep the people in home, motivating social distances with #Stay_Home via social media and various other means.

Talking to a police officer on duty at Battala, he said, “From now, this line system will be maintained without any compromise. Not only in morning, it will be applied day-night. With access control, all gates are closes, keeping only one-way open. By this main entrance 10 people will enter and it will be continued. Main matter is that people continue the social distance. Thus, from today, crowd is under control. People are also cooperating with us”.
