AGARTALA, April 13 (TIWN): One day ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi led lockdown extension decision’s final announcement, Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb signaled a 50% start of Govt sectors and markets keeping the social distancing issue in mind. The decision was taken to save the economy of the state and to keep the people associated with the life-race. CM also announce major 2 economic packages for his state’s people : 1) For Jhumias, 2) Flower farmers. Addressing media CM said, “It is true that Lockdown is giving us tough times, but to save everyone’s life is very important to follow the social distances. People’s help and cooperation have enabled the Govt to succeed in this joint effort. Tripura’s two COVID-19 patients are stable and will go back to home soon. We are organizing modern test systems also”.

“We have hard-core JHUMIAs around 7,000 in numbers. Govt decided to give the Jumias Rs. 1000 per family. Those who are of Antodyoya and priority section, they got houses but around 1400 JHUMIAs are yet APL but really poor. State Govt decided to help them via Rs. 1000”, CM announced. The package to be given from CM relief fund.

“In view of the lockdown, our Govt will provide monetary help of ₹1000 to 6979 hardcore Jhumias each.We have also decided to give ₹2000 each to 700 flower growers in two installments.The assistance will be provided from CM's Relief Fund.We are committed to help everyone”, CM tweeted

“For Floricultural activists, Govt will help them Rs. 2000 in phases as due to lockdown they are demoralizing”, said CM.

“50% markets to be opened in roster system and in industrials sector also get a kick”, he said mentioning about social distances with transport movement organizing.

“Govt is deciding on that so that Tripura does not lag behind and Economy does not drop. Also administrative level persons will join offices. In Govt offices from Secretary to Officer level it will be decided how to start offices in roster system”, he added.

He also mentioned that the free ratioing system to be continued as announced.

The Chief Minister urged people to work harder than before to restore everything, keeping Social Distance on top priority.
