Tripura by-election : Congress sent repo | AGARTALA, Sep 18 (TIWN): Tripura by-election which is to be conducted on September 23rd is concerning the opposition parties in the fear of mass-rigging, poll manipulation and vote theft. Sending a letter to the Election Commission of India, Congress has reported details about the election rigging , massive violence of Lok Sabha election along with booth capturing, said Congress leader Subal Bhowmik. Congress now has demanded a peaceful election in the upcoming Badharghat by-election. Subal Bhowmik said, the officials who were suspended by EC during Lok Sabha Election, Tripura Govt not only restored their positions but also few of them have been promoted. In this condition, Congress demanded a “peaceful election†without any failure. Election campaigning are going on peak as only 3 days left for by-election in Tripura’s Badharghat constituency. All the political parties have called people to cast votes for their parties. Scrapping of Free Medical Services causi | AGARTALA, Sep 18 (TIWN): Imposing fees in Govt hospitals causing massive distresses across Tripura. From admission fee to all other existing free facilities in medical services are now charging in the Tripura Medical College hospital (TMC) along with other Govt hospitals in this poverty gripped state. TMC started the process from Monday which have shocked the regular patients. TMC was such a hospital, providing medical services at very low price with high facilities, affordable for poor people but due to BJP Govt's inhuman decision of scrapping free medical services TMC is becoming heavy costlier for the patients. A news report covered by "Channel Din-Raat" revealed that in the TMC hospital public are slamming the BJP Govt asking, “If we have to give fees in the hospitals amid tight economic condition what is the benefit of the Govt ? The previous system of fee medical service was affordable for us. Why people voted this Govt ?.....all are now resenting ! There is no point that the Govt should stay in power, when it is taking all decision at the cost of public lossesâ€. North Tripura Police caught drug smuggle | AGARTALA, Sep 17 (TIWN): Infamous mafia, drug-smuggler Kamrul Alam has been arrested in Tripura while carrying drugs from Silchar to Agartala. Police informed, the smuggler was coming by Silchar-Agartala train, which was secretly informed to SP North Bhanupada Chakraborty. The SP then instructed Dharmanagar, Churaibari police stations, SDPOs about the smuggling of contrabands. The police started checking in various spots whereas the main raid was done in Nadiapur railway station and inside the train the drug smuggler along with huge amounts of ya-ba tablets were arrested. The arrested smuggler is reportedly a mafia named Kamrul Alam (45), S/O-Abul Kalam, resident of Ward No-1, under Pathakandi PS Chuaribari OC- Jayanta De said that from the smuggler 20,000 yaba tablets were seized. The identified Dog was vaccinated by PAWSOME (ngo) in a vaccination camp in collaboration with Animal Resource Development Department (ARDD), agartala & Agartala Municipal Council (AMC), & is claimed to be a very human friendly Dog.
